CIRCLES
the convertible lamp
"CIRCLES - that´s a lamp which can change its shape and its light mood."
The idea of the project was to construct a lamp with all its functions according to a draft created by another designer (fellow student).
This lamp consists of three different sized circles which are interconnected with specially prepared metal hinges. I used the materials plywood, aluminium, acrylic glass and a LED ribbon that lights up in six different colors. The shape of the lamp can be changed easily by unscrewing the circles, positioning them in a new style before fixating them again.
